This policy describes what information moves through this site and what we do with it. It’s short because we collect very little.

The short version

We run no accounts, set no cookies, and use no analytics. Free downloads ask nothing of you — not even an email address. The only time we learn who you are is when you buy a premium digital edition (or send a support contribution) through Stripe, or when you write to us. We don’t sell personal information, and we never see your card number.

What we don’t collect

No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no login.
No cookies. The site sets no cookies at all — none for advertising, none for analytics, none for tracking — and runs no analytics scripts.
Free downloads. Downloading a free workbook requires nothing: no email, no form, no signup.

What we receive when you buy something

Premium digital editions and support contributions are processed by Stripe, on Stripe’s own checkout pages. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us — we never see or store it. Stripe shares with us your name, email address, what you bought, the amount and date, and an order reference, and handles your information under Stripe’s privacy policy.

We use those details to deliver your files, imprint your licensed copy (below), answer your questions, and keep the business records that tax and accounting rules require.

The imprint on purchased files

Each premium file you buy is imprinted, on its pages, with your email address, your order reference, and a personal-use notice. The imprint identifies your licensed copy. It lives in the file itself and appears on pages you print; the file doesn’t connect to the internet, and nothing in it reports back to us. If you contact us

If you reach us through our contact page or by email, we’ll have what you choose to send — typically your name, email address, and your message. We use it to reply, and we keep correspondence for as long as it’s useful in helping you.

The infrastructure under the site

Cloudflare hosts and serves the site — pages, files, and typefaces alike, with nothing fetched from anyone else’s servers. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard server logs — your IP address and the pages your browser requests — under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Sharing

We share personal information only: with the service providers above (Stripe, Cloudflare), as needed to run the site; when the law genuinely requires it; or, if our business is ever sold or reorganized, with a successor who takes on the same obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done either.

California residents

California’s consumer privacy laws (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) apply to businesses above certain size thresholds, and we are below them. Whether or not those laws technically reach a business our size, our practices are the same either way: no sale of personal information, no sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, no profiling. If you’d like to know what we hold about you — typically your purchase records and any correspondence — or want it deleted, ask us through our contact page and we will, except for records we’re required to keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

Because we don’t track visitors, there is nothing here for a Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track” signal to switch off — the site already behaves as if every visitor sent one.

How long we keep things

Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Correspondence is kept while it’s useful. We don’t build records of visits or free downloads on our side; the only server logs are Cloudflare’s, described above.

Children

The site is written for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us through our contact page and we’ll delete it.

Security

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. The site is served over HTTPS, and the little we hold — purchase records and correspondence — lives on access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, which is one reason we’ve built this site to hold as little as possible.

Links to other sites

Links to Amazon (printed books), catacap.org (a third-party platform), and other outside sites take you to places with their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.

If the site grows

If we add features that collect more than the site does today — for example, an email list for free materials, or signups for live sessions — we’ll update this policy first, and collect only what the feature needs.

Changes and contact

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and significant changes will be made noticeable on the site.
